    China has been one of the top destinations for people from different conntries and regions globally. The world has been witnessed the fast and stable development of China and more and more people grab opportunities to work in China. One of the most important thing to apply for work visa to work legally in China. The policies may change over time and may differ from city to city when it comes to specific regualtions, so applicants should be aware of the updates and differences. We advise applicants to consult with professionals for assistance to avoid various issues that may lead to a failure of application. Below are some basic points we like to share with you.

    Generally there are 2 common types of cases, one is the applicant has been hired by a Chinese employer who is qualified to recruit foreigners; the other is the applicant himself registers a Chinese company WFOE and work as a director or manager.  So about the employer, applicants must make sure the qualifications are enough for work visa application, eg, if the company really meets requirements to hire foreign professionals, a few years ago many English training centers in China fail to meet requirements and hire foreign teachers illegally but things get much better now as the updated regualtions are more strict especially for after-class training services. Of course for other industries as well, China has updated policies so applicants themselves have to confirm the qualifications of the employers first. If the appliant prefer to invest in China with WFOE registration, then he must know what else it takes to meet requirements to apply for work visa as a company manager, director or the legal representative.  You may contact YiQi for WFOE registration as well as for work visa application under the WFOE.

    Basically there are 3 types of foreigners for work visa application. This is about the qualifications of the applicants themselves. If you are interested to work in China, make sure you are qualified enough and are able to provide all required legal, valid and complete documents.

    Category A

    Top professional talents, eg, scientists, global entrepreneurs, talents of special skills, etc. Those applicants are not subject to the limitation of age, degeree and work experiences required for other applicants.

    Category B

    Professionals, normally with degeree of bachelor and above level, 2+ years of work experience in the relevant field, under the age of 60; Only those who are extraordinary in innovation, professional skills, etc may need to meet less requirements.

    Category C

    Other foreign applicants who meet certain requirements and to satifisfy the labor market of China under Chinese laws.

    Again documents requirements vary from city to city, below are jsut basic required documents for your references.

    1, Applicant's passport;

    2, Work permit;

    3, Work experience proof;

    4, Highest degree of education;

    5, Certificates of professional skills;

    6, Proof of no crime records;

    7, Health check document;

    8, employment contract;

    9, Translation;

    10, Notarization.

    To avoid any issues that make you fail to apply for work visa, you also need to be aware of the details.

    1, Not that you have collect all required documents so you may just go apply and get approved, the key point is to confirm if all documents are legal, valid, accurate and complete for administration review;

    2,  Some documents like the proof of no crime records must be notarized by local Chinese embassies or consulates, so simply providing the original copies is not enough;

    3, Work visa application may be rejected for various reasons, one that applicants can avoid is the translation issue, so make sure you turn to professionals to translate your documents as mistakes in transalation will lead to tricky issues.

    Based on our experience below are some of the common reasons why work visa applications get rejected by adminitration office. Make sure you don't have such issues with the employer or yourself as the applicant.

    1, Newly registered company with no business operation;

    2, Registered address of company is not real; Not a valid company office address;

    3,  The applicant leaves the location where the residence permit has been applied;

    4, The applicant fails to take calls for inspectation by Exit and Entry Office;

    5, Failing to provided complementary documents required during the process;

    6,  Too many times for short-term stay applications;

    7,  Bad records of illegal stay or employment, criminal records,etc;
